Presets In Details

With presets, you can configure the way the program crops images in a very detailed manner.

You can select presets from the Presets menu and apply the selected one to all images in the list, or you can right-click on the preview image in the middle and activate a pop-up menu with information about the preset applied to the current image, and the ability to change the preset only for the current image.

In both variants, you will see a preset menu bar with a schematic icon and a short description in three lines.

Presets Menu Bar

The blue rectangle shows the crop’s overall proportions, the smaller red rectangle shows the size and position of the face within the crop, and the white marks indicate additional properties.

Simple Preset - Simple preset. Just cuts the picture area.

Straighten Preset - Straightens the image.

Tilted Preset - Tilts the image.

Head-Center Preset - Centers the head horizontally in the image.

Body-Center Preset - Centers the body horizontally in the image.

Head-Top Preset - Fixes the top of the head.

Beside the icon, there is a short description in three lines.

Presets Menu Bar

First line is the name of the preset. You assign the preset name when you create a new preset. You can change the preset name at Edit Presets Menu panel or by exporting presets to a text file and editing it.

Second line shows crop image proportions. Proportions: 2.00x2.00 (It’s a square crop).

If the preset has a fixed width, it shows here. There are two variants for this:

W <= 1000 pixels - Images cropped with this preset are downsized to 1000 pixels width. If the cropped image is less than 1000 pixels, it will not be upscaled. (It can be set to any size; 1000 pixels is just an example).

W == 1000 pixels - Images cropped with this preset are always 1000 pixels width. If the cropped image is less than 1000 pixels, it will be upscaled; if it is more than 1000 pixels, it will be downscaled. (It can be set to any size; 1000 pixels is just an example).

Third line is for additional properties.

There can be these signs:

Straighten - The face in the image will be automatically straightened.

Head Top - The program finds the top of the head over a plain-colored background. (May not work well if the person’s head is tilted at an extreme angle or is obscured by objects. Does not work when two or more people are in the photo).

Face Center - The program moves the detected face to the image center. (May not work well if the person’s head is tilted at an extreme angle or is obscured by objects. Does not work when two or more people are in the photo).

Body Center - The program moves the whole body of a person to the image center. (May not work well if the person’s head is tilted at an extreme angle or is obscured by objects. Does not work when two or more people are in the photo).

Tilt N.N° - Indicates an additional tilt that will be applied to the image, rotating it with the rotation center in the middle of the detected face.

TP - Means that this preset has an assigned print template. For example, if you create a preset for ID photos, it can export four photos in a 2 x 2 layout.

OA - Oversize Allowed. This preset setting may override the default Oversize setting in the program preferences.

OR - Oversize Restricted. This preset setting may override the default Oversize setting in the program preferences.
